The Group

“We want to create a company that people love.”

– Carlos Oramas |Co-founder and CEO.

The Man Behind the Flowers

“I never thought about being in this industry, but I always wanted to be in this business. The truth is, I love people. When I first stumbled across flowers, I had no idea what made up a flower company. What I did know is that these stems, assembled and packaged, would connect people and emotions in a very personal way. Flowers make people smile.

I knew I wanted to be in a business that did just that. I still love it!”

– Carlos Oramas | gems CEO

Our
Company
Culture

Fueled by Cafecito

Every day between 2-3 pm, the gemsters patiently wait to hear the sounds of our daily Cuban coffee being prepared. If you don’t know what that sounds like, we’ll have to show you when you visit. Caution: May cause extreme productivity and joy.

Never Hungry

gems™ is represented by a collection of people from many different places. Every month we all meet to discuss goals and celebrate victories. We end our meetings with a “family meal” and celebrate our diversity by eating a different meal from a different culture each time.

We Name Everything

As you walk around gems, you’ll notice we have fun and quirky names for just about everything– from our pods to our meeting rooms. We even name our distribution trucks– after flowers, of course! Lily, Daisy, and Bud work hard to get your flowers to you every week! Make sure to HONK twice if you see them!
