Mental health disorders are far more common than most people realize. Almost half of the nation deals with some sort of disorder that in turn affects their daily tasks and careers. In a world where everything is advancing so quickly, it can be easy to fall into this feeling of disconnect. However, there are groups and organizations like Trinity Health, that focus on the improvement of mental health. Do you know Trinity Health?
What is Trinity Health?
In today’s quick-paced world, organizations like Trinity Health place their focus on improving the health of their communities. Trinity Health is one of the largest not-for-profit, Catholic health care systems in the nation. It is a family of 115,000 colleagues and nearly 26,000 physicians and clinicians caring for diverse communities across 25 states. Nationally recognized for care and experience, the Trinity Health system includes 88 hospitals, 131 continuing care locations, the second largest PACE program in the country, 125 urgent care locations, and many other health and well-being services. Based in Livonia, Michigan, its annual operating revenue is $20.2 billion with $1.2 billion returned to its communities; This money comes in the form of charity care and other community benefit programs.
What Extending Smiles is doing to help
Every quarter of the year, we partner up with a new charity to help raise awareness for a new cause. From April to June, Trinity Health will be partnering up with Debi Lily Extending Smiles bouquets to raise funds and awareness for Mental Health. For every bouquet purchased, a portion of the proceeds will go towards supporting Trinity health in their mission; Their mission is to make Mental Health services more accessible to all. Throughout the community, mobile units serve vulnerable members – particularly those experiencing homelessness – who may not have access or transportation to traditional care. Our mobile units meet our members in our communities’ reducing barriers to care.
Current Progress and Goals
Since the start of our project, your bouquets have helped us donate over $650,000 to Trinity Health for support. This money will be used to further support this organization in the pursuit of a healthy community.
Until the end of June, you can find the Mental Health Warriors tag on your Extending Smiles bouquets, exclusively sold at Albertsons Companies stores. We are so happy to be part of a great cause like Trinity Health, and we are excited to see how much money we can continue to raise.
